Celebrating 25 Years of Care: Thank You, Tracey C!

A quarter of a century of dedication, compassion and loyalty. This week, we celebrated a truly remarkable milestone as Tracey Coombs marked 25 years of continuous service with the Sisker Group.

On October 2001, Tracey began a career that would see her care for countless people, support generations of colleagues and become one of the most respected and valued members of our organisation.

Twenty-five years later, she is still making a difference.

Over those years, Tracey has undertaken just about every role within the business, including the considerable responsibility of Registered Manager. Today, she continues to share her knowledge, experience and compassion as a Field Care Supervisor.

For those who know Tracey, she really is part of the furniture! Dependable, loyal and always willing to help, she is someone colleagues can turn to, someone families can trust and someone we are incredibly fortunate to have on our team.

Just how long is 25 years?

To put Tracey’s achievement into perspective, when she joined us in October 2001, Kylie Minogue was topping the charts with Can’t Get You Out of My Head, David Beckham had just scored his unforgettable free kick against Greece, and Apple was still days away from announcing its very first iPod.

Facebook, WhatsApp and the iPhone didn’t exist. The Care Quality Commission hadn’t even been established.

The world, and indeed the care sector, has changed enormously since then. But throughout those changes, Tracey’s commitment to caring for others has remained constant.

A heartfelt thank you

“Tracey, you continue to make a difference, and you have our deepest respect and appreciation. Thank you for everything you’ve given to this organisation and, more importantly, to the people we’ve had the privilege of caring for.”
