Tim Wilson Speaks at Homecare Association Annual Conference 2026
Assist Care Group was proud to see our Managing Director, Tim Wilson, take part in a highly impactful panel discussion at the Homecare Association Annual Conference, held on 20th May 2026 at the iconic Oval in London.
The event welcomed nearly 300 delegates from across the homecare sector and brought together providers, policymakers, regulators and industry leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing social care today.
Tim joined an expert panel for the seminar entitled “Avoiding the Common Pitfalls in Compliance”, alongside:
- Michelle Dumont, Policy Specialist, Homecare Association
- Bradley Lawrence, Senior Officer, National Minimum Wage Promoting Compliance, HMRC
- Cameron Black, Head of Policy & Communications, Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman
- Will Murch, Head of Partnerships, Borderless
Delegates received practical guidance and honest insight into the realities providers face every day. Key themes included the importance of viewing National Minimum Wage compliance as a calculation of both pay and time, rather than simply focusing on hourly rates, and ensuring recordkeeping is accurate, accessible and robust.
The panel also explored how different regulatory frameworks interact and discussed upcoming changes, including the Fair Pay Agreement and Fair Work Agency.
The feedback from delegates was overwhelmingly positive, with many valuing the honest, practical advice shared throughout the session.
